...led chinga...

It was in the year of the no lord 2012. In the dark wilderness of Vancouver, BC, where lost youths teemed in search of the true power of ROCK, three men—chosen by occult forces too sinister to name—rose up in answer to that dire and baleful call.

With their electric black magic unleashed and in full flight, they bonded with the children of the forest over Cro-Magnon riffage, pounding drums, banshee wails, bell bottoms, boogie vans and the sweet miracle of tequila. Through sheer stoopidity, brutality, violence and volume they honed their primordial craft into a sonic axe of stone, opening skulls with deadly precision for as far as the pterodactyl flew.

They would meet regularly, when the moon was full, filling their bellies with intoxicating wild berries, their faces wet with lizard blood as they summoned an unholy frenzy of righteous and orgiastic riffage, bashing out pagan odes to some long forgotten bronze age GOD.

Through their music they traveled back in time—to year UR, where they became wild and their manes grew shaggier.

And thru this transmogrification their vision became clear, the seas of bullshit parted before them and they were free to shuffle off the chains of modern society and raise a stubby and musk-tinged middle finger to the craven new world.

Their war cry became their name, their name... La Chinga! Their mission: to vanquish all foes.
Three men. They howl, growl, prowl and stomp upon the terra in a glorious march to free man from his own mortal enemy—HIMSELF!!! La Chinga!! La Chinga!!! La Chinga...!!!!

"LA CHINGA is Canada's answer of Graveyard and other band's who know how to play good rock music. Like in the past year's this band makes a incredible dirty and full of raw riffs  and stomping hard rock parts. The sound reminds me sometimes hard on Led Zeppelin, the riffs and the songwriting is very similar. Carl does a good job on the vocals and fits perfectly in the whole band line-up. In this first album they defiantly show us that they are able to rock your socks of, so go on bandcamp, listen to their song's and buy this peace of's good for you!!!"

...big thanks to the whole band LA CHINGA for the nice shirt and the great music!!!

...los asteroide is back again!!!

Argentinia/Buenos Aires

Los Asteroide is an instrumental psychedelic stoner rock band, they sound like a diverse Radio Moscow if they themselves were an instrumental band. By diverse, I mean they have a great balance between the slow psych parts and their fuzzed out heavier riffs even within one song.
Although it doesn’t quite reach the level of heaviness that bands like Sonic Flower or Karma to Burn have, Los Asteroide definitely stands out among these other bands because of this balance. Los Asteroide hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

"I'm proud to show you this great band from Argentinia, maybe they can replace the compatriots LOS NATAS and now they are the first adresse for a stoner rock band in Argentinia...Since the demo record i really listen periodically to their music, it's a very organic and muddy music with a lot of solos and licks...the riffs are mostly simple but
structures contain good and work well with the entire band...especialy the new record
is bursting with a lot of energy and flowerful sounds...check them out, like them on facebook and go to their show's because it's good for you!!!"

...from the land of the cojones...

Voodoo Mule
Stoner Rock

A hybrid with an error, a not so clever idea gone worse, a menace that bucks you off with a hint of voodoo from under a top hat black... With a hint of sugar, spice and everything nice, that is how this sonic behemoth came about.
The idea behind Voodoo Mule was a simple one, no indie, just loud and filthy. These are the secret ingredients that bond together an ensemble of three with Hippopotamus on drums, Iguana on bass, and Jagnje on guitar and vocals.

This is the form in which we`ve been working since March 2010 and performing since February 2011. We made our first recordings in February 2011 when we immortalized our first three songs that formed our first officially unofficial demo that bloggers labeled it to be stoner rock. Since then we have covered our homeland Slovenia throughout and our hometown Ljubljana several times as well, with disturbingly loud riff driven rock shows. Just couple of highlighted shows were at Festival Lent, Paranoid Piknik Open Air, Metal Mania Open Air and supporting bands like Count Raven, Karma To Burn, Pagan Altar, Jucifer, Suuns, Rozbub and many many many more.

get it for a kiss here

Our plans for the future are as simple as the basic idea that holds us together, play loud, play out, stay filthy and respect your roots.

"Voodoo Mule are full of energy and power, hard hitting toms and trashy drum work on and on...great desert riding riffs surround smooth and organic solo parts and other effect walls who makes the sound complete...the vocals are behind the music like on a old kyuss record, i think that the sound on this record sound's like the coming Vista Chino album...raw, dirty and played with sand filled tube amps!!! That's the spirit of the whole stoner rock network...Thumb up!!!"

On friday the german band CARRION MOTHER acted as opener...Unfortunately I missed this band because the traffic on the highway prevented me...but TORSO I could already enjoy, the guys from vienna despite tremendous heat they do a really nice job.

More and more people filled the ground and Elin and their loyal companions from Blues Pills
rocked with the finest seventies sound, the people was enthusiastic...
...followed by almost equivalent psychedelic tones from THE FLYING EYE'S...some new song's adorned the setlist and all enjoyed the spectacle. One of the absolute highlights for me were clearly OMEGA MASSIF...I know the right convincing already from the cd but it was never so convincingly but live it was a burner, what a wall of sound, aggressive, powerful and very creative song structures.
What a great first day...after some great song's of the VOID DJ the first day was done and the people fueled new energy for the next day...unfortunately that did not everybody, till 6 in the morning  catastrophic music (50 Cent, Eifel 65 or someother mainstream fuck) from a very drunken dude and his shitty i annoying situation for many guests because that's exactly that what no body want to hear on such an festival( should not drink and bake!!!)
Saturday morning and the sun shines through the forest...the ambience of the VOID Fest was really beautiful and peaceful...something struck we opened the first beer to STONEHENGE and like on the Desert Fest the impressed me again#, this great mix of funk, stoner and the accompaniment of the organ sounds very well to me.

HEAT the super group consisting of Samsaras Blues Experiment,Grandloom and
Asassinations rocks like a tornado and the whole crowd shake their beards and hair, what a show!
With DxBxSx  the mood changed to pure party and the members were celebrated
not really to my taste but quite a good live band.
Now after 4 missed show's i finally saw one of my favourite band's ASTEROID pure and raw on this great stage, open air and after "Supernova" i totaly freaked out, absolutely one of the greatest moments on this festival and also backstage this swedish guy's made a good mood to the people.
The earth shook and the grass began to sprout, MARS RED SKY
enchanted with an energetic show, from the beginning to the bitter end of a brilliant performance.
An attraction to the other...SGT.SUNSHINE
...yes read correctly SGT.SUNSHINE after 8 year's stage abstinence they play especially for Dominik (The dude who organize all) and also for me it's a absolute present to see them after a long time live again on stage. A really impressing and powerful concert what they play with all the fuzzy hit's of their first album and some other from the last was a blast and a big moment for all visitors.
DOWNFALL OF GAIA pulled me the last energy reserves, with their brutal and fast music they was to exhausting for this late hours...DJ MAMMUT (Ex bass player of Kadavar) spoiled us with the finest tracks from the late sixties to the current creme de la creme song's, after some more beer's and some dance sessions I went into the tent and listened cozy to that...a nice
restful sleep was possible.

Big thank's to Dominik and the whole VOID-CREW to keep the spirit of this scene alive!!!

The entire festival was very successful, enough people, good mood, cold beer and a great live sound...all what we need for us to feel comfortable...See you next year...stay fuzzy!!!

...short cut...

Ocean Towers is a four piece band from the rugged east coast of Nova Scotia, Canada; trading in thick slabs of heavy psychedelic rock. Made up of longtime veterans, they bring their years of experience to creating a sound based equally on exploratory improvisation and tight riffing. Their debut EP “Chapter 1” was released in Febuary of 2011. Written and recorded by the band it is a true reflection of their diverse approach to modern heavy Rock. From tightly arranged rockers to epic jams, Ocean Towers is a band that isn’t afraid to hoist anchor and set course for destinations unknown.

...bloody eyes...

Founded in november 2002,
the band’s initial lineup was Alberto volcals, Faze drums, Jacopo bass and Andrea guitar.
In june 2003 the band recorded the first demo, “Part of an audiolesionist”.
In december Jacopo Left the band and Dux joined in...
With this formation Bleeding Eyes performed many shows, and in December 2004 Recorded at BadRum Studio their second effort “No God!”.
In 2005 Bleeding Eyes started promoting the album, playing shows in all Italy;
That summer they even played at METALCAMP in Slovenia with Slayer, Anthrax, Soulfly, Obituary and many more...
In november Bleeding Eyes went on their first European Tour, reaching Germany, Belgium, France, Holland, Swiss, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia, Austria.
At this point Bleeding Eyes’s sound started changing towards Sludge, Rock, Stoner.
In April 2006 a new four song EP presented the new sound.
In January 2007 Tez (ex Timothy) joined the band and Alberto left.
With this formation Bleeding Eyes composed a new album that was released in May 2008 and was Mastered by STEVE AUSTIN (Today Is The Day).
In May 2009 Bleeding Eyes went on a Second European Tour supporting The Orange Man Theory...

Bleeding Eyes’s sound changed again adding a more Psychedelic sound to the good old Stoner, Sludge.
Developing this new sound and experimenting more and more to find the ultimate chemistry in the band Faze, Dux, Tez and Jay decided to look for a second guitarist.
After months of search in September 2011 Jeffrey (ex Slowdown) joined in giving birth to BLEEDING EYES (The Ultimate Formation).

"Dark and fat tunes with a hardcore attitude...rare and pure straight from Italy.
The whole concept works great with the cover and the music. They create a own world of atmospheric ambient sound and break the clouds with their full and downtuned sound...Bleeding Eyes are a fresh wind in the Doom/Sludge scene...Great first album, you should try it!!!"

...hard tunes...

2013 marks the debut of Tilburg stoner-outfit Wangunst. From the deep south of the Netherlands, this powertrio kicks you in the face with balls-to-the-wall riffage somewhere between stoner and sludge.
Debut-EP 'Kempisch Ongemak' (Kempisch Discomfort) contains three originals in the vein of EYEHATEGOD, MYSTIC KREWE OF CLEARLIGHT, DOWN, KYUSS, WO FAT, SNAIL and many others.

Their rendition of the Dirty Dozen Brass Band's classic Blackbird Special hommages both the rhythm 'n blues and stoner tradition of New Orleans.

"A very rhythmic and driving band with a lot of good properties to became in future a main act...really good songs, great sound and all four tracks are very juicy...Get this EP for free and test WANGUNST in your own 4 rooms..."

...shoot you up!!!

Shots from Deneb
Sludge/Stoner Metal

A very interesting mix of different kinds of music, it's kind a sort of Stoner Metal or should i say Trash Stoner...Very fast, hard and crispy recorded. For a debut album it's quiet good and enjoy while listening to it and drive your car. A fast forward band like Black Cobra, Zoroaster, Black Tusk, but surely with they own ideas and a little bit more classical metal attitude.
Shots from Deneb has bite me in the ear and and do not let go...
